Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Absolutely bedazzled by the selection of metallic and iridescent pieces on the Motel Rocks website at the minute. Sculpting and shimmering in spacey textures, clicking the link I felt like I had slipped on an oil slick...flown through space and mined an abundance of precious metals....all at once.

Match Point.
One of the major players in the trend stakes these past few seasons has been sports luxe. This year, Fashion's love affair with sports wear is far from over, the trend is back and will hopefully be fighting fit right throughout the summer, screaming luxury and effortless elegance.
It is no wonder the sports trend regularly does the rounds. These pieces are flexible, flattering and super comfortable.
The emphasis was most definitely on the luxe fabrics and clever accessorising of the trend this season.
Here is how the big designers brought us sports chic this year....
Sleek and minimal a la Lacoste.
Light weight ultra-luxe fabrics from Marc Jacobs.
Solid fabrics and sports silhouettes by Alexander Wang.
The key to scoring an ace with this look is to team sports mesh with tennis whites, track pants with heels and to wear basketball shorts and sports jackets in bold patterns and sumptuous fabrics. For extra style points team your slouchy sports pieces with rugby stripe elastic belts, football socks and sun visors.
This year score a look worthy of centre court with the high street. Designer inspired sports pieces can be found at many of the local high street and online stores but I feel the best and coolest variety can be found at River Island, Boohoo and Topshop.
Here is my winning Summer 2014 sports luxe outfit.
All pieces above are from my high street fave, Topshop.x

That 70s Trend
Baby put on heart shaped sunglasses 'cause we're gonna take a ride.....back to the 70s. Get ready for some sexed up style in those sultry saturated colours inspired by the decade that brought us disco.
Be inspired by films such as American Hustle, The Last Days of Disco, Boogie Nights, Xanadu and the forever a classic Saturday Night Fever, when choosing your style staples during late summer this year.
As I was watching the Topman SS15 show it occurred to me that a fash-forward was about to spark off a new summer trend. A fresh 1970s vibe is about to be established. Although vintage or retro pieces may initially spring to mind, those pieces are not the ones to look out for....this trend is going to boogie on down to the high street with a modern and mature twist.
70s styles were subtely suggested on the women's wear runway for this season but weren't a major feature. My prediction is that this trend will come through fast in the late summer and last in to the fall. So get your 70s pieces now ahead of the crowds....your LED dance floor awaits.
Here is some 70s style inspiration from the SS14 runways...
Floaty and floral endless chiffon at Holly Fulton.
A cool colour palette at Jonathan Saunders.
Summer in the 70s at Michael Kors.
A trail of a thousand sequins at Jenny Packham.
When choosing your 70s style pieces for 2014 look for beiges, browns and powder blues in turtle necks, high waists, wide legged trousers and halter necks.
Here is my super stylish pick of the moment. The wide legged paisley trouser from Topshop, £40.00.
The trouser is flattering and fun. And can be worn in several ways. Topshop.com have given us 5 ways to bring your voluminous pants from the past a fresh up date.
Channel Amy Adams in American Hustle and get in the 70s spirit this season with some modern glamour.x

Wibble Wobble Wibble Wobble Jelly on My Feet..
Always a lover of 90's trends....and a childhood throwback, the Jelly shoe trend has stomped right back into fashion this year. On ordering my 3rd pair of the season, I felt it was the perfect time to bring back my blog too.
Super bright and affordable the jelly shoe is fun and functional. I have literally been wearing mine out, with sundresses, denims, with socks, without socks, on city adventures, trips to the beach and even to work. Everywhere I go I am greeted with comments on my plastic shoes.
Although the 90s version of the shoe initially reminds us of being children and paddling in the ocean, this years jelly has been given many a makeover.
No longer stuck in the past, the clear PVC shoe also hit the runway this season, teamed with pearl encrusted socks by Simone Rocha. Shoe making royalty, Christian Louboutin has even given us their version of a jelly shoe too. Who would of thought it......the designer jelly shoe.
Here are my faves from the high street and online.
New Look for the classic black, block heel Jelly Shoe.
Boohoo for the flourescent wedge.
Topshop for vintage lime flats.
New Look crystal clear sandals.
There are so many fabulous pairs to choose from and best of all buying 5 pairs (in 5 different styles and colours) won't even break the bank...x

You Can't Sit With Us.
Well it was only a matter of time until I wrote this blog. Vogue UK announced it a while back, and it had me smiling from that moment. The surprise colour of the Autumn/Winter season (and the colour for any season as far as I am concerned) is that oh so ultra feminine shade of.....PINK!!! And its not just for the mean girls, It's time for us all to get pretty. So lets get all rose tinted girls...bin the burnt orange and banish the blacks and burgundies. And no, there is definitely no excuse for brown this year. This is not Hello Kitty and Katie Price mind, pink is all grown up.Take a look...
The designers have spoilt us rotten with this colour trend. We finally have it all. Candy floss cute, dirty pastels, deep rose and bright fuscias. And following suit, pink has burst on to the high street in an array of shades too......
So its time to re-think pink, offset the stark palette which the main trends of this season offer us and brighten up those dull days. Make the boys wink in delicate pretty tones or knock 'em dead in candy coloured block pink.
Here are my high street faves...
Fluffy Tee, £24.00. Topshop.
Double Layered Pencil Skirt, £22.00. River Island.
Ornate Pink Tights, £10.00. Toshop.
Fluffy Blush Bolero Jacket, £120.00. Miss Selfridge.
Pink Leather Gladiator Shoe, £72.00. Topshop.
Pink Pencil Skirt with 3D Detail, £25.00. River Island.
Pink Fluffy Mini Skirt, £32.00. Topshop.
Hype it Beanie, £10.00. River Island.
Velvet Tartan Dress, £32.00. River Island.
Banish the winter blues with pinks this year.
Lets throw a pink party and celebrate!x

Fun Fur: Are you fur it or against it?
After last years never ending winter, the top designers have taken heed and this years fabric of the season is fur!
We are all certain to be wrapped up in style during any pro-longed cold spells this season. Fur graced the AW14 shows with magical prowess. There is something instantly glamorous about a lady in a fur stole. It takes us back to old Hollywood. This year fluffy pieces came floating down the runway in all the pastel shades of the rainbow, in deeper sensual hues, Arctic snow furs and forever your friend blacks. But this time the trend was all about having fun with fashion. Say goodbye to your ugly duffle coat and say hello to new age glamour..enter the future with some fun fur.
See my take on the fun fur trend above. Modelled by the beautiful Ksenija. A creative collaboration piece. Photography - Aga Debiec. Hair and make up - Suzanne Wells. Styling - Sian Louise Vance.
According to the critics this trend is all about "Energy, fun and Englishness!" Each designer has given their fur pieces a different updated identity this season. Old fashioned femininity has been brought forward. There is such a huge variety of soft to the touch garments to choose from including coats, skirts, boleros, handbags and even dresses.
Here is a rundown on how the designers have done fur...take some inspiration on how to wear yours and look out for the high street versions hitting the shops over the next few months.
Have some fluffy fun with intarsia Knits at Topshop unique.
It's all about kitschy witchy-ness at Roskanda Ilincic.
Say feminine with feathers at Dries Van Noten.
Blur the lines with strength and fragility at Aider Hackerman.
Roll in a ferrago of fun fur with Fendi.
Channel a cinematic femme fatale with Sensuality and tactility at Loewe.
I know that some people may be almost violently opposed to wearing fur...most of the designer fabrics are now manmade. I hope not to offend anyone with this trend report.
Would you rather go naked than wear fur? If the answer is yes....you don't need to miss out on this trend.....fake it. Have fun.x
